The ImFusion Software Grant gives academic researchers free access to our platform for non-commercial research. Use our tools out of the box or build on our SDK to rapidly prototype and validate your own medical imaging applications, on a foundation designed to grow with your research.

What's included?
Depending on the needs of your project, the Software Grant may include access to:
- ImFusion Suite
- ImFusion Labels
- Python SDK
- C++ SDK
- SDK modules
- Documentation and example projects
- Special ImFusion forum access for discussions with the community and the ImFusion team
Many researchers begin by using the ImFusion Suite for visualization and image processing. As projects evolve, you can extend the platform using the Python or C++ SDK to implement custom algorithms, automate workflows, and develop complete research applications.
Who can apply?
The Software Grant is intended for:
- Universities
- Public research institutes
- Academic research groups
- Students conducting research as part of a university project
- PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Projects must:
- Be non-commercial
- Demonstrate a genuine research purpose
- Be affiliated with a recognized research institution or university
New applications are always welcome. We may request proof of academic affiliation (for example, enrollment or employment at the institution).
How are applications evaluated?
Our goal is to support as many promising research projects as possible.
Applications are not selected through a competitive funding process. Instead, we primarily evaluate whether:
- The proposed research is a good technical fit for the ImFusion platform
- The project is conducted for research rather than commercial purposes
- The applicant is affiliated with a legitimate academic institution
If these criteria are met, we are generally happy to support your project.
What do we expect in return?
The Software Grant is provided free of charge for research purposes.
In return, grant recipients agree to:
- Acknowledge ImFusion in publications and presentations resulting from the use of the software,
- Provide us with copies or links to resulting publications,
- Allow us to reference these publications as examples of research performed using ImFusion.
